Monty the Mascot call out

It’s that time of year again when the Meningitis Trust takes over Stroud’s Five Valleys for the day.

The annual Five Valleys Walk is just around the corner on September 27 and the charity is calling out for any eager volunteers to help fill the important job of being Monty the mascot.

Monty the mascot is the Trust’s legendary yellow duck and has been part of the Trust’s family for nearly 18 years. Easily spottable Monty is often swamped upon by small children demanding hugs therefore the volunteer needs to be fun, fit and is able to protect themselves under such situations.

Volunteers can take turns in filling the role throughout the day, they will be asked to model for photographs and to wave on fellow walkers.
