Don’t wait for a rash

Up to 34 million adults in the UK are risking death by believing that the main symptom of meningitis is a rash.

Believing the rash is the only symptom will cost lives; as the rash, that does not fade under pressure, (a sign of blood poisoning) will not always appear. If it does it can be one of the last symptoms to be displayed, often too late.

We are also concerned to find that a further 5.3 million adults in the UK cannot name a single symptom of meningitis.

Put meningitis symptoms cards in your local nursery, GP surgery, schools, anywhere.
Share your meningitis story with your media toraise awareness in your community.
Register for this site and share your meningitis story on the meningitis forum and help raise awareness.
Print out the poster. Put it up in schools, GP surgeries, at home, hospitals, shops, pharmacies... wherever you can.
