Making a difference
We support everyone in the UK who is facing the challenge of life after meningitis through our professional services. Over the last financial year (2009/2010) we are delighted that the uptake of our services which include counselling, art therapy, one-to-one contacts, home / hospital visits and family days have increased by 30%. The total amount given for financial grants has also increased by 12%. Through our work we know that meningitis can have a ‘ripple effect’; it affects not just the close family, but friends, work colleagues and/or school friends. From a recent survey we carried out, we found that the ‘ripple effect’ could reach more than 40 people through just one case of meningitis. |

We help people practically, emotionally and financially. Our services are available to anyone who has been affected by meningitis. We also educate communities about the symptoms of meningitis, saving lives through early detection. We have the scope to do more and we want to do more. If you feel that you or someone you know could benefit from our support, please get in touch through our 24-hour nurse-staffed helpline (0800 028 18 28).
