We fund counselling, wheelchairs, speech therapy, specialist equipment and more. But we can't without donations. Please help.

We are once again taking on the gruelling but rewarding Great Wall of China Trek in October 2012. The challenge is a truly unique experience. Not only is it a chance to visit one of the world's most impressive historical sites, but it also offers a rare opportunity to experience local life and culture.
Over the course of ten days we will trek along parts of the Great Wall rarely visited by others and through the national Black Dragon Paw park. At the end of the challenge you will also have a chance to visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and have a well-deserved foot massage!
With a registration fee of just £299* and a minimum sponsorship donation of £2,850 you can be part of the Meningitis Trust team that conquers the Great Wall knowing that your hard work will be helping the Trust offer support for life for those affected by meningitis.
In return, we’ll take care of all the practical arrangements, including flights, accommodation and meals so all you have to do is trek – and enjoy the spectacular scenery of course! In addition, Stormtech clothing have been kind enough to give a 20% discount, and Cotswold Outdoor, stores have been kind enough to offer a 15% discount to participants.
Please note we are fully booked for the 2012 event but if you'd like more information, please call 0845 120 4530 or email events@meningitis-trust.org
*non-refundable
Taking part in the Meningitis Trust China Challenge was a life-changing experience for virgin-trekker Sue, not to mention for the people we have been able to help with the money she raised:
“The China Challenge was just the goal I needed and taking part has made me realise that we are all capable of doing something that maybe we thought was beyond us!"
