Focus DIY Ltd
Focus DIY has been a long and loyal supporter of the Meningitis Trust. The Stroud store, which is located next to the Trust’s head office started the initial fundraising back in 1986 when known as Great Mills DIY, and then in later years all the stores got involved ; raising to-date more than £1.25 million. The staff at Focus have been involved in various fundraising activities and have shown a real and unwavering commitment to the Trust. Fundraising has not only taken place during work hours at the store, but has been taken out into communities, such as grandmothers organising social events, fathers jumping out of planes and children having tea parties!
Every year, stores organise a themed ‘Fun Day’ with a variety of fundraising activities, enjoyed by Focus staff and customers in their local communities. The 2009 Fun Day had a stage and screen theme and took place over the weekend of September 26 – 27.
The Trust is extremely proud to announce that the partnership with Focus DIY has won the Charity Times Award for Corporate National Partnership of the Year 2009.
