Stroud & Swindon Building Society
The Stroud & Swindon Head Office and its Nailsworth branch have supported the Meningitis Trust since January 2009.
Over £2,800 was donated by the Society following its Annual General Meeting, where the Society pledged a charitable donation of 20p for every online vote received and 10p for every postal vote. The donation was made in memory of baby Luka, whose mother works at Stroud & Swindon.
A team of cyclists have also raised over £5,000 by taking part in a 24-hour cycling challenge. The funds were raised through sponsorship, a softball match, ‘dress yellow day’, cycling event, barbeque and raffle.
Its Nailsworth branch has held raffles, coffee mornings and is planning another fun event sometime in the autumn, so watch this space!
