After Meningitis: Meningitis Trust (FREE) half day conference exploring the impact of meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia

On Wednesday November 4, the Meningitis Trust’s half day conference, ‘After meningitis' was held at the School of Medicine, Imperial College, London.
The conference looked into the wide range of outcomes of meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia, it highlighted the importance of specialist support in helping those affected rebuild their lives.
This stimulating and thought provoking afternoon benefited from contributions by;
Prof. Simon Kroll – Professor of Paediatrics and Molecular Infectious Diseases, Imperial College and St Mary’s Hospital, and Medical Director of the Meningitis Trust.
Dr Simon Nadel – Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care, St Mary’s Hospital, London
Dr Jeff Lindsay – Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine and Andrew Sharp – Principal Prosthetist, West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre
Vicki Kirwin – Audiologist and Development Manager, National Deaf Children’s Society
Paul Challis – Father of five year old Ellie May, a quadruple amputee following meningococcal septicaemia
