Power car to be named after charity

24-06-2011

To commemorate 25 years of supporting people after their experience of meningitis, we who are – the UK’s only meningitis organisation focused on support - will have a First Great Western power car named after us in a special ceremony.

Although we are a national charity and have been supporting people from across the UK since 1986, our roots remain firmly in Stroud, Gloucestershire – at the heart of First Great Western’s operating area.

This honour demonstrates how much support there is for our work in supporting people affected by meningitis, for life. It is hoped that when the train passes through various train stations, towns and the countryside, it will remind people of why the Trust exists and that we are here to help.

Also present will be families who have been supported by us and others who help to ensure that we can continue our unique work.
