What we can do for you

Family support

We know that when meningitis strikes, the whole family is affected. We can help with our special 'Family Days'.

What is it?

A fun-focused day with arts, crafts and music.

Who can go?

Children who have had meningitis, and their brothers and sisters.
Children who have lost someone close to meningitis.

What about parents?

Parents can join in with the children’s activities, chat to Meningitis Trust staff and meet other families who have been affected by meningitis.

Where and when?

If you would like any further information on Family Days and how they could help your family, please contact Jane Blewitt, Education & Training Manager on 01453 769041, janeb@meningitis-trust.org or Susanne Malcolm, Education & Services Officer on 01453 768007, susannem@meningitis-trust.org.

Family days are kindly supported by Children in Need in 2008-2010

Shirley brought her sons along to our first Family Day. Andrew needs full-time care since having meningitis at eight months old.

The Family Day gave his big brother Jacob the chance to mix with other children in similar situations and have lots of fun too.

See what fun a Family Day can be...
